it's too early for Fresh Air and Sunshine... - Diary of a Necromancer
Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense, you're just not keeping up
it's too early for Fresh Air and Sunshine...
Wasn't quite feeling my usual sparkling and witty self at the MeetUp last night, and now this morning I can feel that cough working its way down into my chest... Rats. Spring is not a fun time to be sick.

And it didn't help that a window blew open in the night, so on top of being vaguely irritable, I am stiff all over.

Blarrrgh... Maybe going back to bed for a few more weeks will help. I can already tell today's shot to hell.

feeling: longing for spring
now playing on Radio Earworm: the Sounds of Coughing

Milk & honey and tea with sugar and lemon. Liquids, vitamins (I don't trust medicaments). Get back to health quickly.
It's horrible to feel that way in early spring.

If it gets really bad and you can stand the alcoholic content (30%, I believe), pick up some Anisette (aka Licorice Schnapps). I don't drink myself, but I find that dumping a small amount of that in a shot glass and taking tiny sips out of it will keep a cough quiet. Just inhaling the fumes often will take the edge off of it. Good stuff to know.
