you kids and your First World problems, man - Diary of a Necromancer
Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense, you're just not keeping up
you kids and your First World problems, man
If you had to go an entire week without TV, music, or your mobile phone, which would you choose, and why?

Well, let's see, I don't have a mobile phone to begin with, and I've already been going without music since the iPod got washed back in May, so it would be kind of cruel to take away the TV as well... I find that I rather resent the premise of the question, actually, given that it assumes one has access to all three. But that's another rant, or, well, two other rants, and I've been having the sort of day where I had to empty my bank account to help Mum bail the car out of the shop as it is, so thinking about how far I am from being able to participate in a lifestyle involving much in the way of consumer electronics has already taken up far too much of my energy for the week and it's only Monday. Bah.

feeling: embittered

I'm with you on this one, too: no mobile phone, rarely remember to use the ipod (though I do use the car radio a lot; I have a rural commute), paid $75 for the TV 3rd hand 4 years & 3 moves ago.

I used the iPod all the time because I don't have a car either and it was nice for motivation on the long-distance schleps I do around town... {sigh}

Yeah, in other jobs/with the bus ride when my car was dead & I lived closer to the city/on walks it was nice.
