Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense, you're just not keeping up

...Okay, well, minor hitch that once again I seem to have slipped into the chasm of Tech Creep and these two little bastards can't seem to communicate with each other either, but after a long strange trip from Shanghai via Anchorage, I have my fat fingers on a new MacBook. {pause for cricket chorus of disinterest.} He's a wee bit neurotic --

Oi, you'd be upset if you'd just had to fly halfway round the world in a box. With no airholes in, I might mention --

So I have named him George.

-- in the hold like an, an animal, well, all right, maybe we won't go there, but in a crate, to Alaska, Sarah Palin might have, well, done something I don't want to know what to me --

Erm. As I was saying, a bit neurotic, and will need some housebreaking. Not the worst setup so far, although his routine might have to include keeping on the old keyboard and mouse for when he's relaxing at home on the desk, 'cos I can already tell that slapping him into the middle of the current setup and trying to go from there is going to give me a crick in my neck. Mum is scheduled to inherit what's left of Gareth-that-was-Gaius, so we'll either have to timeshare on the accessories or get a second set...

BTW, this means that it's knitchick1979, bovidae, sylvia101, and atlanticat who correctly predicted that George would turn up on the 4th. The rest of you are apparently psychic pessimists. ;)

Give George a cookie from me. You two will do wonderful things together.

And I actually managed to solve the "getting the old crap in" issue, more or less, without having to resort to brute force, so that's one hurdle down... unknown many to go {sigh} I like having a new one, it's the settling in that's always annoying...

I have that ability. As long as it's dead trivial. I can not predict winning lottery numbers unless I'm predicting them just before they're called (ie: too late to buy a ticket). This falls under my ability to do a Radar O'Reilly and predict what somebody is going to say or something that's going to happen ~three seconds before it is said/happens. It only works if I'm distracted in some way and then not all the time, but perhaps 67% of the time.

And I posit that image in your icon above is EXACTLY what it looks like.

Depends, does it look like he's taken off his clothes because he's about to turn into a werewolf...? ;)
