Okay, so, needs editing yet, but Fic Death March has arrived at the destination of a draft without any holes in. Food, sleep, shower, and catching up on other Fic Death Marches are next on my schedule, possibly not in that exact order. Pleased with Self for having managed to set goal and reach it on a schedule, however arbitrary and stupid a project it may objectively be...

Oi, none of that negative talk, missy! Any writing is good, and *your* writing is excellent. Did I ever tell you that, back in the 1970's, fan fiction SAVED MY LIFE. It did.

Humans are never so lovely as when they create. You are sublime.

Well, "arbitrary and stupid" in the respect that I keep getting asked whether this is something I'm going to get paid for like Real Respectable Work when I mention that I have a deadline to meet and mean to stick to it, and I've lost track of how many times I've have to explain to my mother that I am simply not going to be able to get around to doing her business cards for a while yet if I'm even putting off running up the ones that I genuinely need to have for YarnCon until this fic is off my mental books. I may not have the world's sharpest time-management skills, but I'm going to stick to my guns about doing the stuff that has fixed deadlines in the order that said deadlines will arrive before the stuff that's just "sometime before winter", thankyouverymuch...

And I'm totally down with Fan Fiction Saved My Life, this is not the first time it's been getting me through a rough patch to have something concrete to work towards regardless of how the rest of Society would understand it. ;) (Why do all my talents have to be clustered in areas that nobody pays a proper living wage for, dammit?)
