What the...? - Diary of a Necromancer
Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense, you're just not keeping up
What the...?
Well, that's interesting: the microwave has had some sort of psychotic break and is refusing to, y'know, make things hot. (I just had to warm up some leftover spaghetti on the stovetop like some sort of an animal.) Any theories here as to what might be busted, if it's pretending to light up and turn and time and all that but no heating is actually taking place? I'm confused...

feeling: running out of saucepans

It sounds like a fuse has blown.

Nigh-endless possibilities, none easily fixed: the magnetron power supply, being the most likely candidate. The power circuitry on microwaves is amazingly lethal, as is trying to work on it with the shielding removed when diagnosing.

see above by randomdreams off to the store to buy a new one, cuz it's not worth fixing unless you know someone who does it as a hobby.

Even then it's hardly worth doing. Those are some very high voltages and they do weird things like floating the transformer case/core high. You get dead working on things like that.
