Huh. Harlow had a weird sense of humor. I guess you'd have to.

It's worth pointing out that the system for raising orphaned humans was massively reformed as a result of Harlow's work. And some screwed-up childrearing ideas were put away for good (they used to recommend not hugging your children more than once or twice a year, lest you "feminize" them).

Oh, yeah, you really don't want to know why I was looking him up in the first place, believe me. (The sanitized answer being, I may be enduring a sudden attack of fanfic, but by god I'm not going to let my research habits slip...)
