Nagging, Installment #1: so far we have 3 signups and assorted +1s for Midlife Crisis of Doom 2007, so if you missed the first entry due to the absurd hour that I posted it at, there's still plenty of time...

  • New Thing Learned for 15 March: Hydrogen peroxide turns to water if stored improperly, which is probably why it didn't do squat to the cat. [Source: the Hair From Hell won round one of "Project Dye My Hair And Run Off With The Poolboy", so I've been researching more extreme measures...]

The thought crossed my mind the other night that what bothers me about Ten is that he's too much like Six, followed immediately by the thought that anyone who actually understands that sentence is probably worse off than I am.

I'd go, but I live in the wrong city.

I shouldn't really be surprised by the Hydrogen Peroxide thing, but somehow I was.

How so? I don't see much of a similiarity, but maybe I'm missing something.

Not sure, really; it was a fleeting impression that made me go, "yeah, that's what it is -- what?" I guess it's because I never get much of a sense from either of them that they really like humanity all that much; for all that Nine likes to call us "stupid apes", there's still an underlying affection for the silly details that seems forced when the writers try to give Six and Ten similar bits of business. They all snap at people sometimes, but it's Six and Ten who seem to mean it, if you see what I mean.

But . .

. . there is no Number Six
