Had lunch at Noon-o-Kabab Sunday and wasn't as impressed as I'd need to be to drag a party there, so now I'm looking at nearby Semiramis, which I've also had on my "if I had money I'd totally be eating my way across this neighborhood" list for a while. Thoughts on Lebanese, everybody?

  • New Thing Learned for 9 March: Modern harness-racing sulkies have clear plastic shields covering the spokes to prevent the opposing horses' legs from getting caught and injured during the race. If only Ben-Hur had had a good plexiglass supplier. [Source: How It's Made".]
