Not killed yet in any shelving-related incidents, although we do have three holes to redrill (deeper, not misaligned) before Success can be declared. I'm still a little boggled at finally living in a building where the studs are exactly where they're supposed to be, considering some of the situations I've had to put up with in my life.

We spent last night watching V for Vendetta instead of Fearless Leader's speech, which was probably a much better use of the time but does make me worry about being dragged off for re-education. While I'm waiting for the Knock On The Door In The Middle Of The Night, let's play bibliofile's "guess the movie quotes" meme:

1) I made you short? the Birdcage -- the2wittybird

2) We ate pancreas! Ferris Bueller's Day Off -- dust_wind_dude

3) They offer lawn furniture as a come-on! Blast From The Past -- sleepykins

4) We killed the Hubble! Mystery Science Theater: the Movie -- ann_leckie

5) They broke my watch! the Blues Brothers -- dust_wind_dude

6) I didn't think you were in the tent that long. Braveheart -- carneggy

7) You're only saying that because no one ever has. the Princess Bride (c'mon, it's obligatory :) ) -- legendofthehawk

8) Congratulations, Reg. It's a... squid. Men In Black -- dust_wind_dude

9) Look, if this is about those parking tickets, I can explain everything, okay? Tron -- wolffsekunde

10) Forget you ever knew me, and never come back here again. Gladiator -- dust_wind_dude

11) No, thank you, fish make love in it. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade -- angelene

I know I've seen #11, but I can't remember which movie it's from.

#6, I'm pretty sure I would have remembered. Haven't seen any likely camping movies, though -- er, moview in which people are camping out, in tents.

I'm not sure that he originated it, but I know that WC Fields often used #11 as his signature line at parties, in the '20's and '30's. I bet it was an old vaudeville line from the 1890's, though.
