Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense, you're just not keeping up
We now join "My Life", already in progress
So after a long boring stretch of descent into General Self-Loathing, my mental state is ticking up a notch at the news that I've gotten into the writing workshop at WisCon. Of course, as this involves finding separate accomodations and transit for the first leg of the adventure, I am now full on into panicking about whether this opportunity is destined to be cruelly snatched away for want of the physical means to fulfill it, but if I wasn't, I wouldn't be me, would I. So we'll call it "cautiously optimistic" until we see how this actually pans out.

In other news, I actually found the nerve to recruit a couple of willing victims to help me proofknit a pattern I've doodled up to go with some of the laceweight yarn I've been dyeing (on the theory that being able to say "...and here's what you can do with it" will boost sales when-and-if this becomes a proper Going Concern) so we'll see how that goes. It's nice having a resource like the WCKG to turn to for things like this, since god knows it would take me years to get around to knitting this pattern more than the once, and anyway that wouldn't address the "but I know what it's supposed to look like" question one runs into when trying to write up directions. I think the lesson I'm supposed to be learning in this lifetime is "don't try to go it alone all the time, silly..."

Also, they loved The Jacket. Which, BTW, according to our friend Mister Unattended Produce Scale, weighs 3.5 pounds, and you don't really want to hear the rest of that story, it would only... alarm you. :)
