An unexpected vein of persistence - Diary of a Necromancer
Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense, you're just not keeping up

An unexpected vein of persistence
Since I'm probably not going to finish another book before midnight, let's call February's media statistics report complete at 14 and 4; down 4 books and up 2 films from January, the latter due entirely to NetFlix and the former to my hands being largely occupied by the Knitting Olympics project. (Which I haven't picked up again yet, choosing instead to work out some lingering aggression on a couple of smaller projects first before I settle back in to pounding out the grueling half-hour-long rows.) All in all, I think I'm more amazed that I've remembered to keep up the booklist for two months running than anything, really.

And yes, I do find it ironic that Fledgling was February's first completed book, considering.

Oh, yes, and I keep forgetting to mention that one of the highlights of last weekend was watching one of the groomerdrones at PetSmart inflicting a lion-cut on a Persian. Even if she hadn't been doing as haphazard a job as the typical SuperCutsdrone, it was still cruel and unusual punishment to do that to a cat...

Strangely enough, I've never seen a picture of a cat sporting a fresh lion cut wherein the feline didn't look completely pissed off....

They look even more pissed-off while it's being done to them, believe me -- I kept wondering if I should be calling Amnesty International or something... :)
