But then again. - Diary of a Necromancer
Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense, you're just not keeping up

But then again.
Oh, and to counteract a tiny bit of the Suck:

There's a footbridge by the park with sides completely made of chain-link fencing. As I was passing nearby last night, I happened to spot some moving blobs on the middle of the bridge. When I approached as closely as a barricade allowed (since the footbridge is closed while the park on the other side is being redone), it was a family of raccoons, Mum and three adolescents about 3/4 her size. They all looked me up and down and waffled for a bit, then Mum climbed up the inside of the chain-link, followed by all the babies... and then they all climbed back down the outside of the fence, one by one and in much confusion, and attempted to walk towards the bank on my side along the outside edge of the bridge. From this I have learned two things: baby raccoons are incredibly cute when they're climbing down the other side of a chain-link fence and their furry bellies are sticking through the holes, and I really need a damn cameraphone, as I was telling the raccoon family throughout.

BTW, I heard a couple of splashes. So I think at least one of them fell in. :)

Hilariously enough, a family of raccoons made their home up in the catwalks of Kresge Auditorium at the Interlochen Fine Arts Academy.

In the middle of a DSO performance, one of the babies fell down into the middle of the cello section, shook itself off, and troddled right offstage and back into the woods. And being the DSO, the cellos only shifted a bit, and kept on playing while making sure the little tyke could get through. :)

That's hilarious! They sure are resilient creatures - and bouncy. :-)

OMG, that's adorable! We are partial to raccoons in my family - they were a favorite of Grannie and plentiful at her house. The night before her funeral one leaned up against the window and looked in at all of us who had gathered to attend. Never got to see many babies though. :-(
